NDIS AND HOW IT WORKS

A tour and hiking can be a fantastic way for NDIS participants to achieve their goals through the beautiful benefits of the experience. LifeTrail and the NDIS empower people with disabilities to make their own choices and control over their lives by participating in activities that build confidence, independence, and social connections.

Families, Support Coordinators and LACs have seen and used LifeTrail hikes and tours as Respite; LifeTrail run hikes and tours as a tour operator.

Please be mindful of your NDIS position. LifeTrail will assist each participant as much as it is in our realm, but participants must ensure they have the required goals and funding. There is more information on our Naturbility page.

The LifeTrail Hikefulness Experience
What is the LifeTrail Hikefulness experience?

Hikefulness is a natural feeling you receive after hiking for a while, that encourages the mental, physical and emotional connection to everything around you. The flora, wildlife, other hikers and yourself.

Hikefulness brings you to the present and to take responsibility organically that both be challenging and bring you peace at the same time.

The LifeTrail Hikefulness experience always empowers participants to build independence and resilience. Hikes are a mentored hiking experience rather than a tour.

There is a focus placed on self physical, mental and emotional awareness. A right balance of education, community, silence,  guidance and space when needed.

Knowing when to move forward and when to rest and reflect, is essential to managing stress and becoming more prductive during daily activities like school or work.

THE BIBBULMUN TRACK

The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world’s great long-distance walk trails. LifeTrail has always since its conception  donated 3% of every booking to the Bibbulmun Track Foundation to assist in trail care and projects. The Bibbulmun Track Foundation comprises approximately 300 volunteers who maintain the trail.
