NDIS Capacity Building Mentoring in Denmark WA

Where Experience Meets the Person

I offer capacity building, life-transition mentoring for NDIS self and plan managed participants across the Denmark and surrounding regions region of South Western Australia — and online mentoring for participants anywhere in Australia.

With more than 20 years across support-related roles with people aged 8 to 64 across disability, mental health, and community support, I bring a calm, skilled, and genuinely person-centred approach to every participant I work with.

This is not a program. It is not a group activity. It is one person, working thoughtfully with another, at their pace and toward their goals.

What Is Mentoring Like With Didier?

In-Person Mentoring — Denmark and Albany
I work with a small number of local participants in Denmark and Albany on a regular basis. My local referrals come primarily through LAC relationships and community connections. Walpole and Mt Barker can be considered depending on the support required, due to the distance and frequency I already travel there.

Sessions are highly flexible and match your specific goals.

They can take place:
    • In your home
    • At a café, library, or neutral location
    • In nature — walking or simply sitting outside
    • Online via Microsoft Teams

When participants choose to engage in mentoring with me, the journey naturally supports:
    • Building confidence and self-belief
    • Emotional regulation in safe environments
    • Social interaction and communication
    • Goal setting, decision making, and problem solving
    • Developing independence and resilience

Online Mentoring via Microsoft Teams — Available Australia-Wide
I offer structured one-on-one mentoring via Microsoft Teams for NDIS participants anywhere in Australia. This removes geographic barriers entirely, allowing participants in regional areas or those with transport limitations to access the same quality of support from a familiar environment.

The following may be considered Mentoring, considering the circumstances
  • All forms of communication with anyone related to the participants support including the participant, family, NDIS support team including LAC, Support Coordinator, Plan Manager, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist and others.
Non-Contact Support
During mentoring I will be required to complete non-contact support to research, plan or complete tasks that assist you to move towards your goals.

These may include
  • Communication with your support team
  • Plan review report writing
  • Employment, study or volunteering research, plan and preparation related
  • Specific activity planning for your needs

Trust, where everyone feels safe

Mentoring under the NDIS or outside the NDIS requires a necessary level of trust like any service, working both directions, by the participant, family and the Mentor. I find this works best when there is open and transparent communication which best supports the participant. If I ever feel there is a trust issue from the participant, family, support team or myself, I will bring it up.

Who I Work With

I work with participants aged 8 to 64 across a wide range of goals, abilities, and backgrounds who are serious about building real-life wellbeing. Want to build confidence, independence, or social skills. Appreciate goal-aligned support rather than passive care.

Every LifeTrail journey begins the same way — with a conversation. Reach out directly to me on 0410 756 065 to explore whether I am the right fit for you.

Primary LifeTrail Mentoring Codes

As I work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. The correct support item depends on the participant’s goals, plan wording, funding category, and the way the support is delivered.

Common NDIS support items that I currently use and may align with LifeTrail mentoring include the following, but speak to me about your individual goals and plan:

  • Life Transition Planning incl. Mentoring, Peer-Support and Individual Skill Development — 09_006_0106_6_3 —  from $83.87 per hour
  • Employment Assistance — 10_016_0102_5_3 — from $83.87 per hour
  • School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) —  10_021_0102_5_3 — Hourly rate on application

Initial Consultation Policy: The first appointment serves as an assessment to see if this mentoring service is the right fit for your needs. The first appointment will be invoiced only if you choose to continue with ongoing mentoring services. If either party decides after the initial session not to proceed, no fee will be charged.

Fees and Invoicing

  • Standard Rate: Mentoring is billed at the current NDIS rate from the accepted Code above.
  • Fee Time Allocations – 15 minutes to 30 minutes at one time or spread over the invoiced week will be invoiced at 30 minutes. Over 30 minutes to 60 minutes will be invoiced at 1 hour rate.
  • Travel Costs: Travel from the mentor’s home office is charged at a maximum of 30 minutes, 30 minutes return at the hourly rate, and $1 per km for travel with clients.
  • Non-Contact support as discussed above is charged at the standard mentoring rate.
  • Invoicing: Invoices are sent to the nominated billing contact and are payable within 7 days.
  • LifeTrail is GST registered, though NDIS services are GST Free

Cancellations & Late Fees

  • I require at least 7 clear days’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
  • If less notice is given, LifeTrail will charge 100% of the scheduled session fee.
  • Pre-agreed travel time or activity costs may also be charged if a cancellation occurs late.

Why A 7-day cancellation policy? Because I provide a dedicated, individual support to people who often face unpredictable barriers, last-minute cancellations significantly impact a sole operator’s schedule and income. To keep this vital service sustainable and align with standard NDIS practice, our 7-day cancellation policy ensures that scheduled time slots remain viable. This allows us to consistently show up and provide reliable, long-term support for everyone.

NDIS Hiking Availability

Guided day hiking remains fully available for NDIS participants looking to combine capacity building with movement in nature.

Please note that all physical hiking services are now managed and covered under my standard commercial hiking licence and tour insurance framework.

I wish all Mentors had a relationship with their Participants like Didier does.”

– NDIS LAC.

“When my time with Didier started I spent a lot of time at home, not wanting to go out, feeling incredibly anxious at just the thought of going out to do anything. I wasn’t achieving any goals that would have helped me to find a job and do what I want with my life, but, after such little time I was leaving my comfort zone to volunteer. While it was initially a scary concept, talking to people I am now a lot more confident in myself and I’ve even started studying full time.”

Isabelle (22)

“Didier has had such a significant affect on our grandson’s life, already after two weeks he was leaving the house with us, coming food shopping. Now a few months on he has his first job at Woolworths. He loves his job and the new found independence. I can’t thank Didier enough”
