Teen Hikes

One day on the Bibbulmun Track Didier met a high school vice-principal who was completing a 3 week solo hike. He said this  “A teen will discover more about themselves spending 3 days out here than 6 months at school.”

Our Teen Hikes are age and ability-appropriate designed hikes. LifeTrail works directly with and humbly receives many hike bookings from reputation and recommendations from Duke Edinburgh International Award WA, schools, health services and families.

Western Australia is fortunate to have the Bibbulmun Track, a 1000 km hiking trail from Kalamunda to Albany. This fantastic trail transformed Didier’s life, and now he guides others along its length for half, full and multiday hikes.

Our teen multiday hiking program offers specialised individual support that acknowledges and supports your capabilities. With this, you also achieve your goals.

Young people come on our hikes for various reasons; each is as important to us as the other.

Teen Hikes and Mental Health

Didier has a passion for youth mental health from over 20 years of assessment and mentoring experience within the youth, disability, mental health, recreation and training sectors. Youth Camps are fun and a great life lesson. Add hiking, and it becomes a total positive life transformation. We read it again and again from the Duke Of Ed reports.

The hikes are designed for beginners, which doesn’t mean they will be easy. It safely leads you out of your comfort zone to a new level of self-belief that you may have never been before.

"Didier has helped me to realise that no matter how difficult something may seem, I can always find a way to do it. Going hiking with them has also really helped me be more outgoing and make more friends, and the incredible feeling you get when you reach the top of a difficult peak is really unmatched. All in all some of the best experiences I’ve had and I can’t wait to be able to go on another hike with them."
