Terms & Conditions of Booking and Participation
These Terms & Conditions apply to all LifeTrail Private Day Hikes. By booking or participating, participants and booking parties agree to the following.

Nature of the Activity
LifeTrail Private Day Hikes are delivered as guided outdoor experiences.
They involve walking in natural environments and may include uneven terrain, variable weather, physical exertion, and exposure to outdoor conditions.
Private Day Hikes are not disability support services, mentoring services, therapeutic services, or personal care services.

Participant Eligibility & Suitability
Participation is subject to a participant’s ability to meet the normal requirements of a guided day hike, including:
• participating safely in a group setting,
• managing personal care and equipment with guidance,
• following instructions and making reasonable decisions.
• LifeTrail reserves the right to decline or discontinue participation if, in the guide’s professional assessment, a participant’s health, behaviour, or capacity presents a safety risk to themselves or others.

Participants Under 18 Years of Age
Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or a responsible adult approved by LifeTrail, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The accompanying adult is responsible for the supervision and welfare of the minor at all times during the hike.

Guide Authority & Safety Decisions
All decisions made by the guide during a hike are final and are made in the interest of:
• participant safety,
• group wellbeing,
• environmental conditions,
• and the ability to complete the hike safely.
• The guide may alter, shorten, or cancel activities, routes, or itineraries at any time due to safety, weather, environmental conditions, or participant considerations.

Booking, Payment & Cancellations
Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment.
Cancellation and refund conditions vary by hike and are outlined on the relevant hike description and booking page. These conditions form part of the booking agreement.
LifeTrail reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a hike due to safety, environmental, or operational reasons.

Group Size & Composition
Private Day Hikes are delivered for individual bookings or private groups.
Group size and composition may be adjusted based on assessed risk, terrain, environmental conditions, and participant capability.

Preparation Requirements
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are appropriately prepared for the hike, including suitable clothing, footwear, food, water, and equipment as outlined on the hike description or provided prior to the hike.
Failure to arrive adequately prepared may result in exclusion from the hike without refund.

Health, Fitness & Medical Disclosure
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically and mentally capable of participating in a guided day hike.
LifeTrail may request medical information or clearance based on risk assessment prior to participation.
Participants must disclose all relevant medical information accurately and promptly. Failure to disclose relevant information may result in exclusion from the hike and may affect insurance coverage.

First Aid & Emergency Response
Guides hold current first aid qualifications and carry appropriate first aid equipment.
First aid may be administered at the guide’s discretion where appropriate.
In the event of a medical emergency, LifeTrail may contact emergency services and share relevant medical information provided by the participant.
If evacuation is required, transportation and associated costs are the responsibility of the participant or booking party, unless otherwise directed by emergency services.

Drugs, Alcohol & Smoking
The use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
Alcohol consumption is not permitted during guided hiking activities.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted during Private Day Hikes.
Participants who breach these conditions may be excluded from the hike without refund.

Environmental Responsibility
Participants must respect the natural environment and follow Leave No Trace principles.
Damage to the environment, facilities, or property may result in exclusion from the hike.

Risk Acknowledgement
Participants acknowledge that outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• slips, trips, and falls,
• physical exertion and fatigue,
• injury from terrain, equipment, or weather,
• aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions,
• burns, cuts, bites, or stings,
• delays in emergency response due to remote locations.
• By participating, these risks are voluntarily accepted.

Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, LifeTrail, its guides, assistants, and associates are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or death arising from participation in Private Day Hikes, except where required by law.
Participants agree to release and indemnify LifeTrail against claims arising from participation, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

NDIS Funding & Third-Party Payments
Use of NDIS or other third-party funding does not change the nature of the activity.
Private Day Hikes are delivered as guided outdoor experiences regardless of payment source.
Any funding or service agreements are separate from these Terms & Conditions.

Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own personal equipment and belongings.
LifeTrail is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal property.

Photography & Media
LifeTrail may take photographs or videos during hikes for promotional purposes.
Consent preferences must be communicated in writing prior to the hike.

Communication & Questions
Participants are encouraged to discuss suitability, preparation, and expectations before booking.

Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
