LIFETRAIL — PRIVATE GUIDED DAY HIKES: BOOKING CONDITIONS

By completing this booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these conditions and the LifeTrail Participant Waiver, Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk Agreement.
BOOKINGS & PAYMENT Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment. All prices are per person and inclusive of GST. A person making a group booking is assumed to have authority to act on behalf of all members for booking and payment purposes, and assumes responsibility for ensuring all group members receive and sign their individual waivers.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS 14+ days before: Full refund (minus booking/admin fees) 7–13 days before: 50% refund (minus booking/admin fees) Less than 7 days / no-show: No refund Date transfers are permitted more than 7 days before your hike. Name transfers (passing your booking to another person) are permitted at any time with written notice to LifeTrail, provided the incoming participant meets all standard participation requirements. Neither transfer type is available within 7 days of the hike.
IF LIFETRAIL CANCELS You will be offered a transfer or full refund (minus booking/admin fees). LifeTrail is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or meal costs. Travel insurance is recommended.
WEATHER Hikes proceed in most weather conditions. Participant cancellations due to weather are not accepted.
PARTICIPANTS UNDER 18 Participants under 18 must be booked by a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for their participation. Where a parent or guardian accompanies the hike, they remain responsible for the minor’s supervision. Where a parent or guardian does not attend, LifeTrail acts as guide only, and a signed Participant Waiver (acting as a Deed of Indemnity) is required before the hike. LifeTrail reserves the right to decline participation where the hike is not suitable for the individual.
HEALTH & MEDICAL DISCLOSURE All relevant medical conditions must be disclosed before the hike. LifeTrail may request additional information or medical clearance. Failure to disclose may result in exclusion and may affect insurance coverage.
PREPARATION Participants must arrive with suitable clothing, footwear, food, water, and personal medication as outlined in the hike description. Arriving unprepared may result in exclusion without refund.
CONDUCT Alcohol, illegal drugs, smoking, and vaping are not permitted. Participants must follow guide instructions at all times. LifeTrail reserves the right to exclude a participant whose behaviour or condition presents a safety risk, without refund.
GUIDE AUTHORITY All route, safety, and operational decisions made by the guide are final. The guide may alter, shorten, or end a hike at any time.
WITHDRAWAL DURING A HIKE Any transport, accommodation, or medical costs arising from a participant leaving or being evacuated are the participant’s responsibility. Travel insurance is recommended.
PERSONAL PROPERTY LifeTrail is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings.
PHOTOGRAPHY LifeTrail may photograph or film hikes for promotional use. Advise in writing before your hike if you do not consent.
NDIS & THIRD-PARTY FUNDING Private Day Hikes are guided outdoor experiences regardless of payment source. Funding type does not alter the nature or conditions of the activity.
MANDATORY WAIVER To satisfy legal requirements, the primary booker must agree to the LifeTrail Participant Waiver during the online checkout process. For group bookings, the primary booker will receive a SmartWaiver link in their confirmation email and must ensure all other participants sign their individual waivers online before arriving at the trailhead.
