Guided Private Day Hike: Parry Beach to Stanley Island Lookout

Step into the rugged beauty of Western Australia’s south coast on this private guided day hike to Stanley Island Lookout. Following mostly the Bibbulmun Track, this moderate trail winds through coastal heath, granite outcrops, and bush paths, culminating in sweeping ocean views.

With Didier as your guide, you’ll not only explore this stunning landscape but also share in a journey that transformed his life. Along the way, Didier brings the Hikefulness approach — slowing down, noticing the textures, sounds, and rhythms of nature, and creating moments for reflection and connection.

This hike is perfect for anyone seeking a personal, mindful adventure: immerse yourself in the wild coastal environment, pause at the lookout to breathe and reflect, and experience the trail as more than a walk — a chance to engage with the land and your own journey.

  • Distance & Terrain: Moderate, bush paths and rocky sections, mostly following the Bibbulmun Track.
  • Guided Experience: Private, fully personalised with mentoring and Hikefulness moments.
  • Facilities & Safety: Limited facilities; bring water, sturdy footwear, and a spirit of adventure.

A Taste of the Bibbulmun Track

The Bibbulmun Track winds for 1,000 km through Noongar Country, offering hikers a deep immersion into Western Australia’s forests, coastlines, and landscapes. On this short section, you’ll feel the spirit of the Track — its quietness, simplicity, and sense of journey — without needing to carry a pack or walk long distances. Here we take time for a Hikefulness moment, with some silent hiking — noticing the forest’s stillness, feeling supported by the land, and appreciating the slower simplicity of the walking life.

Why This Nature Walk Is Different

  • A relaxed pace with plenty of time to look, listen, and notice
  • Supportive guidance for beginners, NDIS participants, all-abilities walkers or those seeking confidence on bush trails
  • A coastal experience that’s grounding, uplifting and accessible
  • Small groups with a calm, encouraging atmosphere

Hikefulness on the Trail

This experience invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and notice:

  • The grounding presence of rugged wild coastlines.
  • The tall karri and marri trees rising softly above the understory
  • The scent of peppermint and sheoak as the breeze moves through the forest
  • Textures, sounds, and colours that shift with every step

We take mindful pauses along the way — moments of stillness to connect with the forest, listen to the birds, and settle into nature’s pace.

Getting to Parry Beach

The hike begins at the Parry Beach carpark next to the campgrounds. Getting there is simple, and there’s plenty of free parking available.

From Denmark:
  • Drive west on South Coast Highway (Highway 1) for approximately 23 km.
  • Turn left onto Parry Rd to the campground.
From Walpole:
  • Drive north on South Coast Highway for about 43 km,
  • then turn right onto Parry Rd to the campground

Once you’ve parked, the hike starts there — a perfect opportunity to stretch your legs and immerse yourself into Parry Beach, which is a beautiful walk itself, the inlet is about a 10 minute walk.

What is the LifeTrail Hikefulness experience?

Hikefulness is a natural feeling you receive after hiking for a while, that encourages the mental, physical and emotional connection to everything around you. The flora, wildlife, other hikers and yourself.

Hikefulness brings you to the present and to take responsibility organically that both be challenging and bring you peace at the same time.

The LifeTrail Hikefulness experience always empowers participants to build independence and resilience. Hikes are a mentored hiking experience rather than a tour.

There is a focus placed on self physical, mental and emotional awareness. A right balance of education, community, silence,  guidance and space when needed.

Knowing when to move forward and when to rest and reflect, is essential to managing stress and becoming more prductive during daily activities like school or work.
