NDIS Hiking and Mentoring Services — Denmark WA and Australia-Wide
Life with purpose. Build capacity. Drive independence.
Where Experience Meets the Trail and the Person
LifeTrail offers NDIS-funded hiking experiences and life skills mentoring for participants across the Great Southern region of Western Australia — and online mentoring for participants anywhere in Australia.
With over 20 years of experience working with people aged 8 to 64 across disability, mental health, and community support, Didier brings a calm, skilled, and genuinely person-centred approach to every participant he works with.
This is not a program. It is not a group activity. It is one person, working thoughtfully with another, at their pace and toward their goals.
About LifeTrail as an NDIS Provider
An Experienced And Respected Unregistered Provider
LifeTrail is not a registered NDIS Service Provider. This was a conscious decision — made to avoid the administrative burden of NDIS auditing costs that ultimately get passed on to participants.
LifeTrail is available to Self Managed and Plan Managed participants only.
All services are delivered in line with the NDIS Price Guide. LifeTrail operates under a clear Service Agreement and all NDIS hiking services are covered under Support Work Public Liability Insurance.
What LifeTrail Offers
NDIS Services at LifeTrail
Guided NDIS Hiking — Great Southern WA
LifeTrail offers NDIS-funded guided day hikes in some of Western Australia’s most extraordinary landscapes — the Bibbulmun Track, South Coast sea cliffs, and the Valley of the Giants near Walpole.
Hiking with LifeTrail combines capacity building with the power of movement in nature. Each experience is carefully planned, purposeful, and adapted to the participant’s abilities, goals, and comfort level.
Hikes are available for:
- Local participants in Denmark, Albany, and the surrounding Great Southern region
- Families holidaying in the Great Southern who want a meaningful, supported outdoor experience for their member with a disability
- Independent participants travelling in the region, with or without a support worker
- The whole family — NDIS-funded hikes can include family members where appropriate
All hiking services are covered under LifeTrail’s Support Work Public Liability Insurance. Hikes run any day including weekends for sessions of three hours or more.
When participants choose to combine hiking with NDIS mentoring, the experience naturally supports:
- Building confidence and self-belief
- Emotional regulation in safe environments
- Social interaction and communication
- Goal setting, decision making, and problem solving
- Developing independence and resilience
- Discovering independence on the trail
Blended hiking and mentoring is a Capacity Building support — not Core. This distinction is made clearly before any work begins.
Online Mentoring via Microsoft Teams — Available Australia-Wide
LifeTrail offers structured one-on-one mentoring via Microsoft Teams for NDIS participants anywhere in Australia.
This removes geographic barriers entirely. Participants in regional areas, those with transport limitations, or those who simply work better from a familiar environment can access the same quality of support as in-person clients.
This works well for participants with goals around:
- Life skills and independence
- Confidence and communication
- Employment preparation and workplace readiness
- Navigating life transitions
- Personal goal setting and follow-through
Current online clients include participants in Perth and regional Western Australia. LifeTrail has capacity for new online mentoring clients.
In-Person Mentoring — Denmark and Albany
LifeTrail works with a small number of local participants in Denmark and Albany on a regular basis. Local referrals come primarily through LAC relationships and community connections.
If you are a local participant, family member, or LAC and would like to explore whether LifeTrail is the right fit, the best first step is always a conversation.
NDIS Holidaying in the Great Southern
Planning an NDIS-Supported Holiday in the Great Southern?
Denmark and the surrounding Great Southern coast is one of Western Australia’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Families and participants are increasingly choosing it for its space, quiet, and extraordinary natural environment.
If you are planning a trip and would like to include a guided hiking experience for your participant or family member, LifeTrail can work with you to design something meaningful within their plan.
This works well for:
- Families wanting a supported activity that includes their member with a disability — and the whole family
- Independent participants travelling with a support worker who want a structured outdoor experience
- Support coordinators building a holiday plan that includes genuine capacity building through nature
Bookings for holiday hiking are best made in advance. Contact Didier to discuss availability and suitability before your trip.

- In nature — hiking, walking, or simply sitting outside

- Are serious about building real-life wellbeing
- Want to build confidence, independence, or social skills

Getting Started
Every LifeTrail journey begins the same way — with a conversation.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want, have your funding sorted, or arrive with a plan. Just reach out and Didier will take it from there.
Together you will work out whether hiking, online mentoring, in-person support, or a blend of all three is the right fit — and whether LifeTrail is the right person for you.
Referrals
Over the past 8 years Didier has received referrals from families, Occupational Therapists, Support Coordinators, GPs, and Psychological services.
If you would like to refer a participant, the best first step is a direct conversation.
