An inspiring and fun 5-day teen hike adventurous journey, which is also magnificent for teen mental health. LifeTrail celebrates inclusion and diversity; our teen hikes have been designed directly for all teens and the Duke Of Edinburgh International Award participants. Perfect for your school’s Duke Of Edinburgh WA program.
This life-changing genuine backpacking hike takes place on an 81km section of Western Australia’s world-famous long-distance Bibbulmun Track on our way to Dwellingup. It includes two climbs leading to the stunning 360 views from Boonering Hill and the Mt. Wells former fire lookout, now a Bibbulmun Hut. The forest heading into Chadoora Campsite is among the most beautiful forests on the track.
HIKING ITINERARY
Day 1: McDowall Rd – Gringer Creek Campsite – Total: 14 km
Day 2: Ginger Creek Campsite – White Horse Hills Campsite – Total: 16 km
Day 3: White Horse Hills Campsite – Mt Wells Campsite – Total: 16 km
Day 4: Mt Wells Campsite – Chadoora Campsite – Total: 15 km
Day 5: Chadoora Campsite – Dwellingup – Total: 20 km
Total: 81 km
TRANSPORT
This hike requires participants to plan their journey to and from the hike. Carpooling may be possible in some circumstances. Please notify us if you can offer transport. e.g. share fuel cost
Departure/Drop Off: 08:00 am – McDowall Rd (gravel)/Albany Hwy, Mt Cooke
Destination/pick Up: 04:00 pm – Waypoints Café, Dwellingup
